I love corn. It is in my top 5 of favorite foods. However, I cannot eat it on the cob. I guess it stems from having heavy orthodontics as a child. For years I had been cutting off the kernels with a knife until I discovered Pampered Chef’s Kernel Cutter; a genius little invention, and a definite kitchen must-have! It is extremely easy to use: just stand the cob upright in a bowl (a wide, deep bowl), and run the cutter down the cob. When you hold the cutter at the right angle, it just slides through the kernels all the way down to the core. It also comes with a blade protector so it will be safe to store in your “utensil drawer,” and it is dishwasher safe. This little $8 tool is helpful tool for making my Southwest Corn Salsa and Grilled Corn too!
